The existing Seller Central shipment tracking experience is a legacy, table-based interface that makes it difficult for sellers to effectively monitor their shipments. Sellers cannot easily view shipments by product, track shipments end to end, or understand the status and movement of inventory being sent to Amazon. This lack of visibility and transparency can be particularly stressful when shipments represent significant financial value. For example, a seller shipping $1 million worth of product from China to Amazon fulfillment facilities across the U.S. has limited visibility into where that inventory is, what is happening to it, and when it will arrive, creating unnecessary uncertainty throughout the shipping process.

I wanted to create a highly design-forward vision that demonstrated how we could address sellers’ shipment tracking pain points while bringing greater transparency and confidence to the experience. I explored opportunities to introduce moments of delight through color, motion, and animation, taking inspiration from ride-sharing and food-delivery apps that surface the most important information visually to provide an at-a-glance view of progress. I partnered with the SPUX Director to create a proof-of-concept prototype for a redesigned Send to Amazon flow, with a particular focus on mobile, animation, and delight. I also conducted competitive analysis of shipment-tracking experiences and authored a PRFAQ to define the vision for a new shipment tracker. From there, I iterated on wireframes and high-fidelity mockups and created custom animations from scratch, drawing and animating each element directly in Figma.

I presented the vision to the VP of Worldwide Selling Partner Experience, helping demonstrate how a more visual and transparent shipment tracking experience could address key seller pain points. Following the presentation, the map-based shipment view was prioritized for development, and the shipment page was enhanced to support viewing shipments by product, directly addressing a key limitation of the legacy experience.
