This project was a design challenge response to the redesign of data.medicare.gov where the user can search for data sets and decide whether or not to download the data. Users can search for datasets and view a variety of information about the dataset in a single location, including a Dashboard with dataset stats and example uses, an About for basic dataset info, a Dataset Preview to view the raw data, a Visualization tool for dynamically previewing dataset data, and a Showcase capability for users to showcase their own projects using the dataset. There’s also a Data Compare Tool where users can compare and download datasets to help find patterns within the data. I created the below wireframes over a couple days and the entire challenge was completed within a few days.
